SUYA AND PEPPER SOUP NIGHT
POEM: WRITTEN BY JACI WILLIAMSON a.k.a KOOZY

TASTE OF NIGERIA

Moi-Moi and plantain on your plate
It's breakfast time, don't be late
Afrocentricity, It's the name
You, me, we -- the same
I love this food, Jollof Rice too
Until you try it
You have no clue
It's up to you
Goat meat and stew
With pounded yam camping outside
It's good, It's good,
Don't hide
Fufu and Gari, are just as good
Ball it up with your fingers
Don't make a mess
You can only use your right hand, nothing less
Asaro, Asaro, is so good for you
Plenty of vitamins and tasty too
Fish pepper soup sounds kinda strange
Just add meat, be ready to take your seat
To make your stew, add a little spice
African pepper, that's nice
A little spicy-- that's o.k.
Add some okra and simply pray
Boil white rice
Be sure not to burn
Add some salt
You'll soon learn
Ogbono, Ewedu, and Spinach
All different types of soup
Choose one or all
As always, there's enough for a large group
Don't be confused
This food is made with love and care
This is my family
We will always be together
That's quite rare
